Weight and metabolic management focuses on a combination of chronic condition management, health and lifestyle counseling, nutritional evaluation, and prescription medications including both oral and compounded injectables.

We do not file or bill insurance companies for reimbursement of professional service fees. Your provider may recommend a medication that could be covered by your insurance, however we cannot guarantee that this request can be fulfilled.

Program Options

Three routes to the same goal

Available in North Carolina in office, and in Virginia and Florida via telehealth. The “Jumpstart” Weight & Metabolic Management Consult is $100; medication costs are additional based on the option you choose.

1. Compounded Pharmacy

Pay for your vial based on your dose with each refill, through FDA approved and regulated, non-research-based compounding vendors.

Injectable GLP-1 (Semaglutide)$185–$285
GLP-1 / GIP (Tirzepatide)$285–$480

Compounded with a choice of niacinamide (B3), niacinamide + pyridoxine, glutamine, travasol, methionine, leucine, pyridoxine (B6) or L-carnitine.

2. Cash Pay Direct

Ozempic or Wegovy (Semaglutide) through Novo Nordisk, or Zepbound (Tirzepatide) through Lilly Direct.

Coverage

Commercial insurance — varies by specific plan and employer choice, typically requires pre-authorization
Medicare — KwikPen coverage as of July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027 with prior authorization under temporary Medicare pilot initiative with Part D coverage or Medicare Advantage plan with drug coverage under FDA BMI and co-morbidity qualifiers
NC and VA Medicaid coverage is offered with FDA approved BMI and co-morbidity qualifiers *must fail Wegovy / Ozempic or have a documented allergy*
FL Medicaid — no coverage
Monthly refills — $75 cash pay professional fee, which includes concierge provider access, nutritional support, and additional program benefits

3. Prescription Eligibility & Access

If your medical history includes FDA approved diagnoses for GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP medications, your provider will advocate on your behalf with one prior authorization attempt — included in your $100 initial consult.
